Welcome!
I am an incoming Postdoctoral Fellow at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University. I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at Emory University in 2026. My research is in international political economy and international organizations, particularly the allocation and impact of foreign assistance. In my dissertation, I focus on the strategies that small states employ to pursue their interests in interactions with great powers and international organizations. Other projects explore US-China competition and how aid affects environmental protection efforts in recipient countries. My academic research has been accepted at International Studies Quarterly. I have also written for Democracy in Africa.
Before graduate school, I earned a B.A. in International Relations and Economics from Michigan State University, where I was a member of James Madison College and a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellow in Swahili with the MSU African Studies Center.
